Core Product Functionality

The ICS Triplex T8231 Power Pack is a core component of the Trusted Power System, engineered to convert 110/240 Vac line voltage to regulated 24 Vdc power for ICS Triplex Trusted industrial products. It also supplies adjustable 28 Vdc field power to support diverse on-site power requirements for automation and safety control equipment. The module integrates seamlessly with the Trusted 1U Power Shelf and enables flexible power scaling for complex industrial control setups.

Key Technical Characteristics

This power pack features a high-density design with a 750 W single unit output rating. It supports n+1 redundancy configuration when deployed in the 1U Power Shelf, which can house up to three T8231 modules for a total 2250 W maximum output, or 1500 W output in redundant mode. It connects via a mechanically secured IEC 60320 connector, which ensures fail-safe physical and electrical connection for uninterrupted operation. Advanced built-in diagnostics monitor real-time input and output voltage conditions, and detect critical faults including over-temperature, fan failure and out-of-range voltage output.

System Integration & Diagnostics

The T8231 Power Pack interfaces with the Trusted Power Port for full diagnostic data transmission and fault reporting. It is compatible with the optional rack-mounted Power Controller, which centralizes monitoring and configuration for up to 12 T8231 modules across 4 connected 1U Power Shelves. This centralized management boosts system visibility and allows real-time adjustment of power parameters, ensuring optimal performance in continuous industrial operation. The modular architecture of the T8231 enables quick integration into existing PLC and safety controller setups with minimal reconfiguration.
