The Bently Nevada 330881-28-00-148-03-02 is a pre-assembled PROXPAC XL proximity transducer designed for non-contact measurement of shaft displacement in rotating machinery. It integrates an 8 mm probe, extension cable, and Proximitor® sensor into a single factory-calibrated unit, eliminating field matching requirements.

This model features a total sensing range of 4.88 mm (192 mils), as indicated by the “148” suffix in the part number—corresponding to a calibrated gap range from 0.25 mm to 5.13 mm (10–202 mils). The transducer uses a glass-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) housing instead of metal, which provides excellent resistance to corrosion, electrostatic discharge, and mechanical stress.

Engineers typically deploy this device in turbines, compressors, pumps, and gearboxes where environmental conditions are severe. Its rugged construction meets NEMA Type 4X and IEC IP66/67 ratings, ensuring reliable operation in wet, dusty, or chemically aggressive settings.
