C200 Users can choose from our range of three upgrade options, according to their current system and application requirements. • C200/C200E systems with Process Manager I/O (PMIO) using I/O Link Interface Modules can use our C200 to C300 upgrade kits. The supervisory network is upgraded to Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE), the industrial control network of Honeywell’s Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS). This ensures rapid detection and recovery in the event of communication failures, with a switchover time of less than a second. PMIO users can migrate without replacing I/Os, and can retain their wiring and graphics. Control strategies can be migrated with little or no change. • C200/C200E to C300 with Series A (Chassis) I/O – For any system using Series A I/O modules (most often in remote – downlink – chassis), we can replace the C200/C200E controller with the C300, while leaving IO modules in place. CNI communication cards in I/O chassis are replaced by an FTE Bridge, used for communication between the Series A I/Os and the C300 controllers. • C200/C200E to UOC/vUOC with Series A (Chassis) I/O can also choose migration to the ControlEdge Unit Operations Controller (UOC) or UOC virtual controller. This allows users to retain Series A I/O infrastructure, Series A I/O modules, control strategies, graphics, history and trends. They can keep ControlNet along with the Series A I/Os and RAIL I/Os. C200/C200E controllers are replaced with the new UOC/vUOC controller. Connected using Star or Ring topology, it can communicate over the EIP protocol or CIP Pass through.
