Description

The IC693CPU331 module from GE Fanuc is a GE CPU module. It is part of the Series 90-30 product line. This CPU comes with 1 serial port, 512 inputs, and 512 outputs. The IC693CPU331 CPU can be installed in GE Series 90-30 PLCs to control industrial applications. This CPU module comes with an 80188 processor that can operate at a maximum speed of 10 Megahertz. It needs to be installed in a baseplate in the PLC, which can contain up to 5 baseplates in total. These 5 baseplates include the CPU baseplate and up to 4 other baseplates that can be remote baseplates or expansion baseplates. The ambient operating temperature range for the IC693CPU331 CPU module is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius or 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

The GE Fanuc Series 90-30 IC693CPU331 CPU module can communicate through Ethernet LANs, GCM communication modules, GCM+ communication modules, GBC communication modules, and FIP communication modules. The components of the IC693CPU331 CPU include a memory chip, an associated circuit chip that is integrated into the CPU and soldered to a circuit board, and a backplane board. This CPU is easy to install in the PLC’s CPU backplane because it is a plug-in CPU module. The IC693CPU331 CPU supports Boolean logic and it can function at a scan rate of 0.4 milliseconds typical for 1K words of Boolean logic. It can support EPROM or EEPROM modules as optional add-on memory in addition to its built-in RAM. The IC693CPU331 CPU makes use of both the SNP and SNPX slave communication protocols.
