Description
The GE Fanuc IC660BRD025 Genius Modular Redundancy Sinking Output Block is a 32-point discrete output DC block for the GMR output subsystem which controls discrete output loads. The IC660BRD025 Output Block is used in an H-Block redundant output group configuration. The H-Block output group consists of 4 output blocks (2 source blocks and 2 sink-type blocks) and this configuration is one of the output group configurations of the GMR output subsystem, which include the T-block redundant output group, the I-block redundant output group, and 1 out of 1 diagnostic block redundant output group. In the H-block configuration, two IC660BRD025 Sinking Output Blocks are wired in parallel on 1 side of each load and 2 source output blocks are wired in parallel on the other side of the load.
The IC660BRD025 Sinking Output Block has 32 output points that are integrated with blocking diodes and feedback resistors. These diodes and feedback resistors help to simplify system the wiring and improve system reliability by preventing malfunctioning due to back-drive current. The IC660BRD025 Sinking Output Block has an operating voltage rating of 5, 12, or 24 Volts DC and an operating load current range of 0.5 Amps to 1.0 Amp. It has a maximum inrush current of 4.0 Amps and an output off-state leakage current of 20 microAmps. The IC660BRD025 Sinking Output Block is configured for the GMR mode by using the Genius I/O handheld monitor, and it is installed on a bus that is configured to match the GMR setting. Unlike the input subsystem, which performs voting with the GMR software configuration, the GMR output group performs voting by comparing the output data for each of the 32 points as received from the PLCs.
