GE Fanuc IC200MDD841 Module

Description

The IC200MDD841 is a VersaMax high-speed counter module from GE Fanuc with mixed discrete inputs and outputs. This device has 20 positive logic inputs and 12 positive logic outputs, some of which are configurable. Devices connected to these input and output connectors have two different states: on or off. This device does not provide any isolation for individual channels or protections such as internal fuses.

This device allows for several different input and output configuration settings such as High-Speed Counter, Pulse Width Modulation, Pulse Train, and Ramping Pulse Train. When the IC200MDD841 is in the default configuration, this device has four type A high-speed counter inputs and outputs. The high-speed counters can process pulse signals at 80KHz. In addition, the default configuration has 12 standard inputs and eight standard outputs.

Power for the IC200MDD841 is provided by the backplane, but any external output devices will require a separate power supply. When connected to the 5-volt backplane power source, this device consumes 30 milliamps of current. All inputs and outputs for this device use 24 volts DC. The on and off state current for the IC200MDD841 is 3-8 milliamps and 0-0.5 milliamps, respectively.

The height of this device is 66.8 mm, or 2.63 inches. The width is 110 mm, or 4.3 inches. The depth is 50 mm, or 1.956 inches. The IC200MDD841 also provides error detection capabilities with the capability to display up to 13 words of status data. On-board LED lights also display status information.
