Description
The DS3820PSFF1A1A is an AC Input Module designed for the Mark IV series by GE. The MKIV replaced the MKI and MKII in 1982 as General Electric’s primary gas/steam turbine management system. It introduced the idea of distributing control functions across multiple platforms run by microprocessor. These platforms (dubbed R/S/T) continuously monitor turbine performance around the clock and make adjustments as necessary.
The DS3820PSFF1A1A is a modification built around several DS3800 boards. The AC Input module has a metal housing that is made up of multiple parts connected together using drilled out points and screws. The metal housing is designed with openings to allow for heat dissipation. These openings also give technicians access to the components with the housing.
