Description
The Allen-Bradley 1756-L1M2 is a ControlLogix 5550 controller. It has a 1 MB user available memory but it does not have a nonvolatile memory. It has the capacity to control local and remote I/O across DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Universal Remote I/O networks. It has an open-style enclosure type rating and weighs 0.35 g or 12.5 oz. This controller has Group 1, Class A emissions.
The 1756-L1M2 has an average power dissipation of 4.8 W and an average thermal dissipation of 16.4 BTU/hr. Its average backplane current at 5V DC is 1.05 A and 0.02 A at 24V DC.
The operating temperature of this controller ranges from 0 to 60 Degrees Celsius, while its storage temperature ranges from -40 to 85 Degrees Celsius. It also has a noncondensing relative humidity between 5% to 95%.
It has a vibration of 2 G maximum peak acceleration at 10 to 500 Hz, an operating shock of 30 G peak for 11 ms, and a storage shock of 50 G peak for 11 ms. It also has an isolated voltage of 30V and this controller has been tested to withstand 500 Volts for 60 seconds.
The programming cables compatible with the 1756-L1M2 controller are the 1756-CP3 and the 1747-CP3. When needing to be replaced, the battery should only be the 0.59g lithium battery 1756-BA1.
The 1756-L1M2 has a conducted RF immunity of 10Vrms with 1 kHz sine-wave 80%AM from 150 kHz to 80 MHz. Its ESD immunity is 6 kV for contact discharges and 8 kV for air discharges. It also has an EFT/B immunity of +/-2 kV at 5kHz on communication ports and +/-4 kV at 2.5 kHz on power ports. The radiated RF immunity is 10V/m with 200 Hz 50% Pulse 100%AM at 900 MHz and 10V/m with 1 kHz sine-wave 80%AM from 30 MHz to 1000 MHz.
