Description

The MVI56E-MNETR is a server-enhanced network interface module manufactured by ProSoft and Allen-Bradley. The ProSoft MVI56E-MNETR Network Interface Module belongs to the ProSoft Series of network interface modules. The ProSoft MVI56E-MNETR Network Interface Module features the remote rack type, a single-slot ControlLogix backplane, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet configuration, 100 maximum client connection commands, and 16-bit registers CIP-connect-enabled network configuration. The ProSoft MVI56E-MNETR Network Interface Module utilizes a minimized input or output data image size for data transfer between itself and the ControlLogix processor; making the ProSoft MVI56E-MNETR Network Interface Module suitable for remote rack applications by using the EtherNet/IP process or ControlNet networks. The ProSoft MVI56E-MNETR Network Interface Module is also applicable in applications which need redundant ControlLogix processors. The ProSoft MVI56E-MNETR Network Interface Module is located by ProSoft Configuration Builder via the UDP broadcast messages. The UDP broadcast messages could be blocked by the layer 3 switch or the router. In that circumstance, the ProSoft Discovery Service will experience difficulties in locating the ProSoft MVI56E-MNETR Network Interface Module.
